Rachel Mehaffey is a certified personal trainer with the experience and credentials you hope to find; however, it’s really her extensive dance background that sets her apart. She trains, teaches, and performs across the US with notable recent performances at the American Dance Festival in Durham, Sans Limites Movement Fest in NYC, Atlanta Dance Festival, and two seasons with the North Carolina Dance Festival. Being such a high level dancer gives her a keen sense of body awareness, an eye for detail, and skill explaining and demonstrating movement clearly. This means that no matter your background or learning style she can talk you through exercises safely, help you focus on getting the most out of each movement, choose the most appropriate exercises for your needs, and keep workouts creative and engaging.

But Rachel is not just a dancer. She has the fitness credentials to back it up as well. She’s both a Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor through the American Council on Exercise and a certified Yoga and Pilates Instructor along with coursework in various other topics such as postpartum exercise, back pain, and athletic performance. She has applied those skills for years in various settings from large gyms to boutique studios.

When she’s not training or dancing she is spending time with her fiancé Raymond and her cat Simon.
