Aaron Hornstra, B.S., CSCS

Aaron Hornstra has been serious about making fitness his career from the very beginning.  Right out of high school, Aaron enrolled in the school of Health and Human Performance at Ithaca College. By the time he was done at Ithaca, he had earned a degree in Exercise Science, a minor in Health, Nutrition and Coaching, and played varsity basketball! Shortly after graduating, he distinguished himself by becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA. He also didn’t rest on his education laurels as he went on to complete post grad internships at the Duke University Center for Living and the Stanford University Strength and Conditioning Department.

Aaron now has over 8 years of experience in the fitness industry at a variety of training environments. He successfully incorporates his educational and athletic background to train his clients in a challenging, yet fun way. Aaron focuses on finding balance in your body through exercise prescription and stretching. He believes that each client has unique needs and so requires an ever-evolving, individualized workout routine. Using this philosophy, he believes his clients can achieve optimal efficiency from their bodies through hard work and diligence. Aaron has worked with clients ranging from young athletes to older populations, and designed programs to accommodate their individual goals and abilities.

As a new North Carolina resident, Aaron is enjoying getting to know the area with his wife Jessica and dog Sammy. During his downtime he enjoys playing basketball, traveling, spending time with friends and hitting the golf links. On Sundays in the fall, you will find him enthusiastically rooting on his hometown team, the NY Giants.
